Your Call Sheet, right when you need it. Built for film and television professionals.
Today's Call Sheet is an iOS app built for film and television professionals. It lets you import PDF Call Sheets (or any other production documents) and displays the correct documents for the current day. Once on set, simply open the app and that day's Call Sheet appears automatically.
With a Pro subscription, you can attach multiple documents to a single date — not just your Call Sheet. Link your Script, Storyboard, Crew List, or any other production PDF to the same day and switch between them instantly.
The main part of the screen is the Document View, which displays the selected document for the current date. At the bottom is the Navigation Bar. On the left side of the bar is the Calendar Button, which opens the Calendar — along with the Owl Mode and Settings buttons. In the centre, the current date is displayed. Today and Tomorrow are shown by name, while any other date shows the full date. The Arrow Button on the right lets you quickly move between Today and Tomorrow.
The Calendar can be opened by tapping the Calendar Button.
The Search button appears above the Calendar when a document is open. Tap it to search inside the currently displayed document. Type a word and all matches will be highlighted in the document.
The Document Selector appears at the top of the screen whenever a date with at least one document is selected. If multiple documents are linked to the date, the Document Selector lets you switch between them. The Call Sheet is always shown by default when selecting a date. The Document Selector automatically hides when you scroll down in the document so it doesn't block the content, and reappears when you scroll back up.
Long-press a date in the Calendar to delete all documents linked to that date. Long-press a document in the Document Selector to delete only that document, leaving any others for that date intact. Deletion cannot be undone.
Open Settings by tapping the Calendar Button, then the Settings Button above the Calendar.
Owl Mode lets you change the time at which the app rolls over to the next day. This is useful for night shoots — when your day extends past midnight, you still want to see the call sheet for yesterday's date, not today's. Set a custom rollover time and the app will keep showing the previous day's documents until that hour.
Document Types let you categorise the files you import. By default the only available type is Call Sheet, but with a Pro subscription you can create your own — for example Script, Storyboard, or Crew List. Manage your Document Types from Settings → Document Types. From there you can add, rename, or delete types. When importing a new document, you choose which Document Type it belongs to. If multiple documents are linked to the same date under different types, you can switch between them using the Document Selector.
Auto-Highlight automatically marks specific words every time a document is open. Add any words you want to stand out — your department name, your call time, a location — and they will be highlighted without you having to search for them manually. Manage your highlight words from Settings → Highlight Words. This feature is available with a Pro subscription.
Add a Today's Call Sheet widget to your iPhone Lock Screen for one-tap access to today's document.
TCS Pro is a monthly auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features. Subscribe or manage from Settings → Today's Call Sheet Pro.
Features included in TCS Pro: Multiple documents per day, Owl Mode, Auto-Highlight.
Not automatically. Today's Call Sheet stores your documents locally on your device and does not currently sync between devices via iCloud. If you switch to a new phone, your stored call sheets won't carry over. You can re-import them manually if you still have the original PDF files. Cloud sync between devices is planned for a future update.
For help or feedback, use Settings → Provide Feedback inside the app. This opens an email addressed to the developer, and you can optionally include diagnostic logs to help resolve any issues faster. You can also reach out via the support page at rikuvirta.com/support.
Today's Call Sheet stores all documents locally on your device. No documents are ever uploaded to any server.
Diagnostic logs — sent only when you explicitly choose to include them in a feedback email — contain timestamps and app events but never the content of your documents. Logs may include location data to help diagnose time zone related issues.
